FKT: Brenda Fortin - Mount Toby Loop (MA) - 2022-05-14

First "summer" run of the year and it was a brutal one. I'm not quite in mountain shape just yet, nor have I acclimated to the heat and humidity, so I didn't give this run my best effort, but I'm pretty stoked about today's run nonetheless. The sweet smells of spring flowers kept me distracted and the thrill of being on the trails continues to lift my spirits. I ran all by my lonesome, besides the parcel of white tailed deer I scared off, and I carried all water and food in my vest, in addition to bringing a water filter, though I didn't need to use it today.
