After attempting to reclaim this FKT in July and coming short by a minute, I re-attempted on October 21 and managed to take it back by a little over a minute! I’ve never run this route in the fall before and the aspens were gorgeous! Highly recommend coming this time of year! The drive to the trailhead was so insanely beautiful…I can’t say I looked up from the trail to enjoy the view too often during the run but when I did, I was blown away!
Ate a gel before starting and didn’t carry any fluids since it’s such a short route! It was warmer than I expected for the altitude and time of year, so I ended up running in my sports bra!
