On October 12, 2023, I ran the Safford Peak out and back route for the female unsupported FKT. I started at the fence just before the trailhead sign on the Scenic Trail, taking that to the Safford Peak Trail. I summited Safford Peak in 33:33, and after taking a few pictures, headed back down the way I came, with a total time of 1:02:26. The route was short enough and the weather cool enough in the morning that I did not need to carry any water.
