I think I underestimated how tough this route would be; navigation, terrain, weather, and even wildlife presented me with issues on this trail (to call it a trail in parts is generous).
This route was done as a solo and unsupported route, thankfully, there were plenty of water points to resupply with the water filter on route and had ample food.
The terrain was mixed overall, from good clear trails, to bog and long grass with no clear path at all. This, coupled with heavy rain at points, poor visibility, a large amount of elevation and bulls in the field, really tested me.
I started off on the south section of the route heading west towards winter hill, I was familiar with this part of the route already, and though it was challenging, I felt confident. As I progressed over through guide, Darwin and Haslingden, it became far tougher as I was in unknown territory and weather/terrain decided to go against me. As I had a time to beat, I had to dig deep and managed to narrowly beat this time.
