A beautiful and epic day running and climbing on Snowfield Peak. Didn’t set out to specifically get the FKT, but when we got to the summit in good time, we thought we would give it a shot. The day was pretty straightforward and incredibly beautiful. The beta for the scramble helped us to keep it on the class 3 side, definitely keep it in your mind for your summit attempt. We were unsupported carrying all our own food and filling up for water where we could. We didn’t see a single person from when we set out until we were back in the forest on the climber’s trail. Our few route finding errors, accompanied with a lack of hustle on the way up, lead us to believe that this route could go much faster. The Neve glacier, incredibly varied terrain, and stunning north cascade views make this an epic route. If you are trying to do it faster and want beta, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
