On October 31, 2020, I completed the Park City Skyline Traverse, a route I've been looking at and dreaming of for several years. I can see it from my house and it was very gratifying to chart a course on the map and visit all the peaks I can see on a daily basis. I started at the Snow Park base at Deer Valley where my partner dropped me off in the morning. I had all my water and food on my back. The snow making efforts at the resort slowed me down and made it hard to follow a trail, but I kept moving straight up until reaching the summit of Bald Mountain. I went from there to the next little hill, to Flagstaff Mountain, then Jupiter and so on, summitting 8-10 peaks along the Park City ridgeline, including Silver, Desolation and Murdock Peak. From Murdock, I found a steep exit gully in the forest to descend and then connected to a trail that took me to to Lambs Canyon Road. I ran Lambs Canyon Road until i-80 where my partner was waiting with food, puppy and water. It was an incredible day moving unsupported and solo.
