It's holiday Monday!!! Took advantage of not going into the office. :) I didn't want to drive far, nor did I want do anything too long, so I decided to tackle a trail I've been on for 2 other FKTs this summer (this trail is shared with Ganaraska's Tiny & Wasaga Sidetrail 75k and the Simcoe County 100M Loop).

Honestly, there's not much to report on. I started later in the day, because it was raining with a risk of thunderstorms all morning. I timed it perfectly! The sun came out moments before taking my starting pic. I had a pretty good headwind going out (40km/h wind gust), but was able to hold strong. I tried to stay conservative, as I don't often run "short", non-technical trails and I didn't want to blow up. Sadly, I still ended up in the pain cave for the last 10k. What felt comfortable at the beginning took all of my will to hold with a tailwind. I counted down each kilometer with great anticipation of the end. There was a time in my running "career" where 5 min/km pace was an easy recovery jog haha. Oh well, pushing myself out of my comfort level is what it's all about, right!!??

Oh and I got chased by a chicken (rooster?) at the start and the end of the FKT. That's a first!!!  Watch it here: https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=690127721856253&extid=NHNMVRXVuaGOx0OU
