I had a really fun sufferfest on this one. Woke up a little later than I wanted as it was going to be a super hot day. But I ended up getting to the top just as the sun was starting to turn from pleasant to HOT. I warmed up with a nice bike ride over to the trail head and started out easy then graduated to going as hard as I could while still being able to take in little sips of 4HourFuel every so often to keep my legs going. The upper part was super sandy but then it turned into grippy rock all the way to the top. Beautiful as always.
