There have probably been more fast efforts on this route in the past few weeks than in the past several years, after Andrew Drummond (Run The Whites) lit the fire with his Tuckerman Ravine Trail Throwdown challenge. I was inspired to go back for a faster round-trip after Travis Muhonen threw down a 1:37:00. This time I took no water or food--just running shorts, shoes and a GPS watch. I tagged the summit in exactly one hour and turned around, managing to shave some time on the descent knowing I might need to in order to duck under Travis's speedy round trip.
