Tremendous and beautiful mountain 4,232 meters high in one of the most beautiful mountain ranges I have ever run.
With winter already feeling full force and seeing the time of the previous FKT I had my doubts if I could make it, but I went all out. I must admit that it was exhausting as the mountain throws false summit after false summit at you.
The route starts at the first information sign next to the Estero Yerba Loca, in the homonymous Sanctuary, and the return is by the same route.
There is no water all the way and the route is not marked, although it is quite intuitive as it runs along the ridge from south to north, with Cerro La Paloma and Cerro Altar as a backdrop.
You start running at an altitude of approximately 1,900 meters and run a total of 26,54 kilometers up and down.
Achieved in 6 hours 48 minutes, car - summit - car.
