Report

The days prior to the attempt it did not stop raining so that snow and ice had been deposited on the high mountain. That is why I carried with me a pair of light crampons and a light ice axe, which were very useful in the last meters before reaching the summit.
As always I went alone and without external support.
It seemed right to start and finish the challenge at the door of the Hotel Las Torres since it is right there where the classic trail to the viewpoint of Torres del Paine starts and it is also the last place where you can park your car.
The trail is well marked until you get out of the Magellanic forest and then there is no clear trail but the route is quite obvious as it runs parallel to the Ascencio River.
The trail is very good for maintaining a steady jogging pace.
The summit is very windy as usual in Patagonia, but offers the best view of the Torres del Paine.
There is no water on the entire route.
