A cool August morning for the midwest. 14 degrees C to start. Partly cloudy. Perfect weather. A weekday effort made for light trail traffic.
I ran the loop counter clockwise. The route is promoted as 19.5 km on the Fanshawe Lake Conservation Area's website but is posted along the trail as 20 km.
I followed the main trail (no offshoots) and closed the loop at the 20 km post under 19.5 km by about 140 m according to my Suunto watch; therefore, I continued to lap over the start of the trail until my watch read 20.01 km.
