Started the Tiger Mountain Trail out and back traverse saturday Jan 24 on a very chilly sunny day. Wanted a fun solo day on Tiger & thought I might be able to knock a few minutes off the unsupported fkt so I brought ~2L of water, a filter, and a bunch of snacks & set out around 9 am. It was really cold but warm once getting moving so I ended up taking off a bunch of layers and carrying them. So many folks out and tons of flybys and including a few folks hearing me audibly freak out at the clearcut below middle tiger on how beautiful Tahoma was looking today. Great dogs out there too. I’d only seen the first few miles of the TMT from West tiger so getting to see its entirety was pretty special. Filled up a soft flask w a filter on my way back, there were a lot more water crossings than I expected! Some ice up top too right below WT2. Got a little turned around when TMT follows the FS road for a sec and waddled around for a minute or two confused but had the route on my watch. Technology!
Love this trail & love this mountain.
