Got dropped off on Bruner Street for my days adventure. Started at 8:21 AM in Iola to take advantage of a nice wind out of the South. Chilly start at about 25 degrees. Ran South to North. Started with some gummies, waffles, 2 high calorie drinks, 2 packets of Skratch, and 1.5 liters of water with Skratch spread into 3 bottles. Ran to Garnett and refilled water bottles at the trailhead restrooms. The day warmed up nicely and the sun was out with a strong tailwind. Continued on North through Richmond and Princeton before arriving in Ottawa as the sun was going down and my legs were growing tired. 8hrs 25 min and 21 sec had passed by the time I made it to the Northern end of the Prairie Spirit Trail. My ride met me there, I promptly changed clothes, and then devoured a milkshake.
