Hot day! I ran this as part of the Cross-CT run for mental health, which covers this segment and then another 2-3ish miles to the Long Island sound. Most aid was acquired at volunteer tables every 10ish miles, and my fiancé handed me a cold coke near the end of canal trail near Yale's campus. Got into a good rhythm with a favorite album on repeat around mile 20, so then just went with that the rest of the day. If you were really serious about a self support, it would probably be easier to go earlier in the spring or late in fall for less heat because there are some long sun exposed parts.
