Shephards Pass is a long one and I didn't want to do be doing this again so wanted to get both peaks in today. Kept the times in the back in my head as I went up, took the initial trail easier, knowing it was going to be a long one. Cresting the pass and seeing the mountains is incredible, they are quite different from another, though I think Williamson takes the cake in terms of grandeur. The gully up to the summit was scrappier than I thought, better going down than up, and the finale chimney was pretty cool. The push over to Tyndall was tough, but certainly a cleaner route up the NW rib. Kept the downhill steady to ensure I could break 10hrs. A really lovely day in the sierra!
