After having my eyes on the super extended Pemi loop all summer and figuring out a route to incorporate summiting Owls head, I decided to give it a go. With over 18,000 feet of elevation gain, summitting all 14 4000ers in one go is not an easy task. Taking the Owls head crossover via the land slide off of Franconia ridge on North Lincoln was a super fun scramble and added an extra element to the journey. Unfortunately, my Fenix 6s pro ran out of battery at mile 42 after coming down off the summit of Bondcliff; however, my Gaia recording clocked me in with 50.1 miles and an elapsed time of 19:28:00. I kept a slow and steady pace all night and only took breaks to eat or drink. It was a very warm night and hiking 12 hours during the night is not easy, especially with the tough terrain that the White Mountains offers.
