The start was at West Cowes and ended in East Cowes, running in an anticlockwise direction. This was to avoid waiting for the unreliable ferry across the Medina and makes a logical start/finish point.

Update to Trip Report: Since registering this fastest known time I have written a blog post/report about running the Isle of Wight Coast route. Which gives more information than my initial Instagram post.
Notes
There is now an ultra, the ISLE OF WIGHT CHALLENGE, which comes in around 65miles, 5miles short.. It doesn't follow the whole coastal path, probably due to planning on number of entrants etc..
The next fastest reputed time I have found is by Damian Hall in 13:49:00 (https://www.outdoorsradar.com/ultramarathon/setting-a-fastest-known-tim…)
