I thought this route would be a great way to see more of my city Exeter and it didn't disappoint. I looked at maps beforehand to check the route and navigation was pretty straightforward, with good signage. The mud was very bad in places so I used running poles to make sure I didn't slip and fall. During a dry summer spell it would be possible to knock quite a bit of time off this.
