Description

The Exeter Green Circle is a 12.5 mile loop around the city of Exeter, using largely off road paths through parks and the hills around Exeter. It gives beautiful views of the city from the hills around the city and you can even see the sea from some points. During the winter months it can be very muddy and slippery on the paths so trail shoes are recommended. You go past a few shops if refuelling is needed and you could easily start and finish from Exeter St David's or Exeter Central station. There are a number of road crossing where care must be taken. It is very well marked with the green and white circle symbol seen frequently along the way. Overall a highly enjoyable route to run and a great way to explore the city.
