Darren was staying at the infamous WoWo campsite so we looked for nearby routes and timewise this was better option than the Chiddingly or Mid Sussex one.
We started at Blackboys and met a lovely couple who were fascinated by our plans and told us we could pop in at end for a cup of tea - number 12!
Route criss-crosses a few classic trails - Vanguard and Weald Way - not the most beautiful trails - lots of field crossings and electric fenced routes. Quite well signed but with so many other trails you need to watch this route carefully
We wanted to get a sub 2 hour but the forest section had a lot of fallen trees and there are a decent amount of stiles on this route.
Last few miles saw some good steep hills and fast lanes. No chance for sub 2 today but should be easy for someone else.
Was going to miss the Uckfield train so no cup of tea at No. 12 - next time
