Started a wonderful day in Kent by looking at three great FKT routes that can be achieved in one day with not a huge amount of driving and all one hour from London
Grateful to Michael Carney for setting these up and sharing such great info/history
First up was Westerham and Chartwell - which has a glorious trail sign to follow
The route here starts at the bottom of the church and makes its way up and through to the main road - we missed the very small entrance to the trail
Once you get out into nature you follow this wonderful hilly and varied terrain route - past great National Trust Chartwell. Amazed by how boggy some of the hidden trails are but it just added to the fun
Highly rate this route - it has everything you can ever want for an entry level trail/navigation FKT
We went unsupported - there are some fantastic places to refuel in Westerham
