Decided to run the Wissahickon Four Corners Route as a new years run after stumbling upon it on strava a few days ago. Really enjoyed piecing together all the different parts of the part I have run in the past all into one run. Navigation was a bit tricky, though I didn't have to use my phone for the first 8 since that's the side of the park I always run in; made a few wrong turns on the back half, but recovered from them pretty quickly and only added about a quarter mile (22.02 vs 21.78 for the official route). Weather was ugly (32-37 throughout, rain for the second half), which made for slippery running on the muddy trails, but the route did not disappoint.
I ran with a Camelbak with 28 oz of water and 3 Welch's fruit snack packs (3 * 70 cal) and a granola bar, eating whenever I needed to walk up steep/muddy climbs.
