Today flowed as smoothly as it possibly could. I ran with intention, bound to my limitations, and placed priority on self care rather than focusing on pace. My theme for the day was that "I'm exactly where I'm supposed to be; right here, right now". I was able to take an hour and four minutes off the previous FKT and able to forgo the bike ride back to my car out of the unprompted generosity of strangers. Someone could definitely get this route under six hours.
After today, the Ruby mountains have crept into my top 5 mountain ranges despite the smoke obscured anything in the distance. I enjoyed the alpine lakes, the craggy peaks, and the remoteness of the range. I apologize for the lack of photos from this outing. I'll without a doubt be back to tackle some of the peaks that caught my eye.
