Went back for another attempt this tome with some outside help.
Still was a rough go of it. I went directly form work. It was hot and humid once again. forecast for weekend called for rain so knew had to get this is in before then. So went again on tired legs and mind. Took everything to work and put my water in lunchbox. changed at trailhead. Thought i could do better then the other day but was not sure with the hotness. The way out went way better then expected body had small amount of energy left but may have been the celcius i drank before leaving work that gave me a boost early on. This time i wore calf sleeves and gaiters to protect my legs from the stinging nettles and high grass. to my surprise i probably could have gone without them even though they really do help. The reason i say could have gone without is because the park service actually cut about 2 miles of the trail so there was not as much high grass and nettles as the other day still had a couple miles of it but the end is not as bad as the middle section. This was huge in me going faster. Did not have to be as careful or tip toe thru the nettles. Huge win. by the time i got to the turn around at the museum i know i was gonna be running short on energy but got it done as well.
