On August 8, 2026, we completed the Seven Summits of Saalbach Hinterglemm route in Austria as a mixed-gender team.
We traveled to the start point using the Schattenberg X-press gondola and began the route at approximately 9:30 AM. The route provided outstanding mountain scenery throughout, with expansive views across the surrounding Alps and Saalbach Hinterglemm valley. On weekends the first gondala is at 9am, which is when we completed the route. On weekdays it looks like there is an earlier gondola to get to the start earlier in the day.
We completed the route unsupported.
We each carried 1.5 liters of water from the start, along with enough snacks and nutrition for the entire effort. We did not use any resupply points, receive outside assistance, or otherwise restock food or water during the route. The amount of water and nutrition we carried was sufficient for the entire effort.
Overall, it was a fantastic day in the mountains and a memorable way to complete the Seven Summits of Saalbach Hinterglemm.
