Starting from the Schattberg over the 7 highest mountain peaks from Saalbach / Hinterglemm to the Lindlingalm. Together with the HOME OF LÄSSIG WALK and the PINZGAUER SPAZIERGANG, the Seven Summits form the WANDER CHALLENGE. Saalbach-Hinterglemm: panoramic hike A new challenge awaits the well-fit, sure-footed and experienced mountain hikers: the “Seven Summits of Saalbach Hinterglemm”. This almost 24-kilometer mountain tour over the highest peaks of the Glemm Valley with an alpine character and a massive 1,413 meters in altitude is a tour for die-hard individualists and physically fit alpinists. With the Schattberg X-press the Seven Summits Tour starts. The signposted route leads over the Stemmerkogel and Hochkogel to what is probably the most technically demanding ascent to the Hochsaalbachkogel. It continues over the Bärensteigkogel, Manlitz- and Mittagskogel to the final highlight and highest mountain in the Glemmtal, the Geißstein at 2,363 m. Power reserves should also be planned for the difficult descent over the Birgl into the valley head. There are no managed huts along this route and that requires good preparation: you should only tackle this tour with perfect equipment, enough provisions and water in your backpack and tour planning with regard to the weather and early descents.
