FKT: Dru Falco - Red Rocks - Dakota Ridge Loop (CO) - 2021-01-20

I ran the Red Rocks- Dakota Ridge loop in Jefferson County after seeing Allison & Tony Baca's FKT. I'm not a fast runner but thought to myself, "I can beat that!" I followed their route on Strava to ensure I hit it exactly but got a wee bit lost trying to find the correct trailhead for Trading Post loop. I slipped on some ice in the first mile or two and ran the remainder with a bloody patch on my booty. I mostly walked the uphills on Dakota Ridge because I was absolutely wiped the last three miles. I carried water, a gel, and a bar in my vest. Beautiful blue sky day, pretty windy, and I saw a red tailed hawk! Lots of other runners, walkers, and bikers out.
