Beautiful course up and down the rainbow falls trail to Mt. Le Conte. Downed trees and icy conditions at the top definitely made the route slower than anticipated. Started early due to expected crowds on the rainbow falls portion of the trail. Once I got past the falls trails were completely empty. Descent back past the falls was difficult due to crowds and having to weave around them. Shoutout to VJ shoes for providing the perfect footwear and mud gear compression socks helped keep the legs fresh.
