In recent weeks the Avon Valley Path has become more popular with the records being broken in the female, unsupported and supported categories.
We set of early to beat the heat and the crowds. 3 of us set off from Salisbury. Lee and I had planned to run the whole thing but our driver Paul decided to run 8 miles with us before heading back.
A few difficult sections to navigate but all in all the map on our watches seem to do the job.
i unfortunate lost my phone with 5k to go. It cost us 15/20 minutes on the elapsed time.
Really enjoyable route, would like to do again without the wrong turns and phone being lost to try and bring time down to nearer 5 hours!
