On an overcast autumnal day I left the tiny car park at Easby Abbey and took the Drummer Boys path to Richmond, heading across to The Batts and on to the river Swales iconic Richmond falls, from their it was the steps up to the castle, skirting the town centre and heading on my ascent all the way up to Willances Leap hitting the coast to coast walk way.
heading along the ridge of the hill from Williance Leap to a steep descent all the way back down to the River Swale, heading back along the opposite side of the river and then onto the Station area and taking the old railway line back to the Abbey.
