FKT: Emma Morton - Silver Lincs Way - 2023-12-26

I had the best adventure running where I grew up! I started at St Giles church hall, but hadn't realised until 300m or 400m that I hadn't yet pressed start on my watch, which got me cross with myself. The Wolds are fairly flat to be honest so all the rain in previous days made the mud very cleggy and heavy! Battled fallen trees and knee-deep puddles! My Dad insisted on following the route and meeting me at road points to check I was OK. (Yes I am 50 y/o but I'm still his little girl!!!) I carried all the food and water I needed, just accepted his encouragements!  It was the most emotional sight to see Louth church spire finally, its the town where school cross country got me into trail running!
