This outing established the route. Now that the gpx is available, and the route is known to be achievable with each peak being connectable, a runner could shave off multiple hours from this time. One of the included route files may contain embedded waypoints with photos.
There is perfect flowing water after you descend from Dragon’s Tail. Then there is water needing purifying at Hidden Lake. Then it’s dry and exposed from there.
I got a hefty ticket and a big yellow scarlet letter of a boot on my car for exceeding the 3-hour time limit in the parking lot. I’m sure by next summer they will find a different way to deal with the crowds at Logan Pass. Other than that, it was a smooth, serene, adventurous outing!
