FKT: Eric Kennedy - Pacific Crest Trail - Hwy 80 to 49 (CA) - 2020-09-05

I ran this route solo and unsupported on September 05 2020. Temperatures were between 70 and 91 degrees and wildfire smoke was slightly present. I started this route at 6am on Donner Summit and finished at 4pm in Sierra City. I had planned on an eight hour run but didn't account for the water locating and filtering that was very time consuming. However this was the most important aspect of the trip! The water sources were drying up but there was still just enough if you know where to look. The route was much more rugged once you get closer to Sierra City. Very scenic and very remote!
