Hi!
I just completed a northbound unsupported Nolan's 14 run in 57:04. I started at Blanks at 4am on Friday, Sept 8 and finished at the Leadville Fish Hatchery on Sunday at 1:04. Aside from a fairly impressive snow squall as I came over Massive and a few moments of excessive wind, I had great weather start to end. I loved doing it unsupported and having everything I needed to just keep walking for more than two days in some of my favorite mountains. There were definitely a few navigational faux pas, but nothing too bad. If I were to ever do it again, I'd wait for a full moon to make the night less disorienting, but I guess I can't have everything! I was lucky enough to be met at the finish by Courtney Dauwalter, Kevin Schmidt, and Esther Kendall.
This is a route that I've been contemplating and scouting for a long time, and I was psyched that the variables of weather, fitness, and time finally came together to give it a go. I've watched so many amazing women take on this route, and I'm so inspired by all of them. This is a mountain romp that I'll carry with me for a looooong time. :)
Thanks!
