Report
I crossed the entire Salar de Uyuni, the largest salt flat in the world, located in Uyuni, Bolivia at 3.700m/12.150ft, on September 28th, starting at 5am.
I ran the entire route by myself, from Llica to the town of Uyuni. These are the two villages where people start and finish the crossing of the Salar de Uyuni.
My cameraman supported me with food, water and gear every 20km along the way. They were driving a 4x4 vehicle and when I met them, I would get whatever I needed to keep running by myself.
I followed the same GPX track that a Brazilian male runner used in 2023 to cross the Salar de Uyuni.
The terrain consists of mud, water and compacted salt.
