I ran this as a hard effort two days in a row. First day (6/12), it was just under 90 degrees outside and I just came off a long drive from Alamosa (I also took a wrong turn). I ran 49:11 and missed the FKT by 40 seconds. I spent the rest of the day at my Aunt's, hydrating, foam rolling and stretching. I went early on the 13th to avoid heat and took 4 and a half minutes off the established time. Really pleased with the effort- I really love this loop! I recorded the effort on my Garmin Fenix 6 Pro and wore a pair of Saucony Endorphin Speed 2s. Great shoe for more mild trails. No food or water, no company.
