Martin Torres is one of LA's TRUE trail goats- Love the guy for whipping this one up. Gnarlier than I expected. Went about it in reverse and picked up some vert for my troubles, haha. But parking's easier on the Pony Ride side. Tons more scramble than I would've reckoned. Light rain as we enter our wet szn in LA, but all around beautiful. Not too many on the trails. Got confused more than a cpl of times- especially with that cliff-face you're meant to scramble up, lol (I still don't know HOW u managed down that thing @Martin). MERRELL SKYFIRE 2'S UNDERFOOT, great tool for the task. Echoing Martin's sentiment; excited where people take this one to. Could absolutely see a sub 1 hour w/ a little planning.
Gear: Went vest, never a fan of that. But glad I had about 10 ounces of liquid IV as I was sweatin more than planned. Took a gel, but really didn't hit it till I was at the fence (end of route). Enjoy, all!
