Ran in reverse, was a little closer to my house. An amazing experience no question, cheering on the picketers for the Guild, everyone was smiley and supportive. I kept a 15oz soft flask, a handful of dates and some chews. Shot it a little short (the hydration more than the nutrition). Needed an emergency water refill at Griffith- 3rd drinking fountain actually worked. Didn't exactly where the perfect shoe for the job, but the MERRELL SKYFIRE 2 is just that light and offers banging stability, so ran with it- thought I'd hit a little more horse trail @ GP. I've always wanted to do a run that crosses "the hill" so this was cool. Spent time talking to a few of the picketing groups, missed the ones at Culver so them splits really start slowing down as the day moved along, sun jumped up. Started at 8:30a.
