This is a gorgeous trail running route. The gravel road to the summit is reasonably gradual, and there is a nice mixture of a little bit of “true trail” as well as gravel roads through the woods. Completed this route solo on a clear cool day, where there were plenty of people on the main route to the summit but more solitude for the remainder of the route. Carried 2 liters of water and refilled bottles in a small creek (purified w/aquamira) prior to the midway point of the route. Fueled with protein bars and fig newtons. I highly recommend you check out this trail if you are on the fence, definitely a hidden gem considering it isn’t too far from the greens of VT and the whites of NH.
