Began the Bataan Sea-to-Summit at Marina Bay’s beach with a wet shoe then climbed on Kamaya Point Rd before passing Maritime Academy of Asia and the Pacific, onto Alas-Asin Road, left onto Bataan Provincial Highway 301, then right onto Zinia Street which gradually fades to gravel and the beginning of Tarak trail.
Caught some rain on the ascent so gently traverses slick rocks and roots. There were numerous places with risk of treacherous falls and several fork-in-the-road decision points without markings. Was glad to have Jean Marc onboard as our local guide and to make the upward trek with Andi, who was a big encouragement.
10/10 recommend Bataan Sea-to-Summit... fun, meaningful adventure for folks looking for a challenge in the Philippines!
