Have been wanting to do this for years having grown up on the island, but attempt delayed due to injuries and covid.
Started approximately 06:30 going anticlockwise from Cowes to East Cowes. Had to cope with multiple diversions due to landslips but attempted to keep as true to path as possible. Reasonable conditions underfoot though hard in some places and boggy in others.
Weather torrential rain at start but dried out thought-out day. Strong buffeting winds in west coast made going tough.
Fully supported with two friends from Team Bath Athletics Club, Simon Brace and James Donald, both of whom paced in places.
