FKT: Heather DeRose, Antonio DeRose - Gans Creek Wild Area Trail (MO) - 2024-02-25

We started the Gans Creek Wild Area Trail 7 mile loop at the Gans Creek Trailhead off Highway 163 around 10:15am. The weather was sunny and mild. The terrain was fairly smooth throughout the entire trail, with stretches of rugged trail covered with roots and rocks. It is mostly single track. There are multiple water crossings, all of which were fairly dry at the time. The trail is blazed in orange markers and easy to follow. There are several places overlooking the bluffs of Gans Creek and the entire wilderness area that showcase the natural beauty of Mid-Missouri.
