Nice conditions and started off well. I started from Marley Common and went clockwise around the loop. This was the same as my first attempt. I decided to park there as it was closer to home (less travel so better for the environment) and free parking.

I did get lost quite a few times despite now having a Garmin Fenix 6s with mapping. When I first attempted this FKT I was navigating via my phone and OS Maps. I still had to get my phone out to check the OS Map quite a few times. One bit of the route went through private property and there was a fence so I had to retrace my steps. Luckily I hadn't gone too far (not as much as last time I did this route) as I remembered that bit. I have attached a photo of the part of the route which is wrong - the red line is the public right of way and the purple line is what's on the current route. It is just before you enter Blackdown.

Beautiful views over Blackdown. My pace significantly increased during the last 1/2 and again in the last 1/3 but that's normal for me. I sprinted (as much as I could) to the end, having lost a fair bit of time being lazy and walking up those hills. Not many people on the route, a few dog walkers and quite busy at the Devil's Punchbowl but other than that very peaceful running. Had 1litre tailwind, 500ml water, carb gel and a snickers bar which I carried in my hydration pack.
