I completed the Iceland N-S Traverse from the Northern Most Lighthouse to the Southern Most Lighthouse completely unsupported! I started with a much heavier pack than I expected ~45 lbs with all my own food/gear for the entire trip with no resupplies along the way. I never received help from anyone, including strangers. Never bought anything along the way or stayed in shelters. This FKT is an open course meaning you can take whatever path you think is the fastest, I decided to stay on Christof Teuscher route the whole time and only deviated about 5 miles.
There is so much to share about this life-changing adventure but I'm keeping this report short. If you want to see more pictures/videos and hear my stories, feel free to check out my Instagram where I'll be sharing everything! https://www.instagram.com/hunter_leininger/

The speed on your 100 mile day for some km looks too fast for hiking and even running?
That is a good question, there’s no mention of the data being rather interesting. Guessing it was a device being on the fritz, but there’s no explanation here of why. I’d be interested to know.
