I ran the Dutch Dunes route today as a good training for the 100km World championship end of august in Berlin. This route has beautiful scenery and goes through some national parks. It is a very fast route because it’s mainly on pavement or shell paths. In the summer it is easy to do unsupported because there are a lot of public water sources along the coast. It was a pretty windy day, not too hot and some rain from time to time. It’s not a route you should try during a hot day in the tourist season because you have to go through some ‘boulevards’ and cycling paths. Those can be crowded if you choose the wrong day.
