I was supported crewed primarily by my mom, Deb Hart, from start to finish.
Two pacers along the way: Gary Sines (current FKT holder) and Adam Puterbaugh
I made posts on Facebook throughout my journey as well and had much internet support from friends.
April 30- Day 1- Began at 4:03am in Cincinnati, OH on Thursday, April 30, 2026. At 6:16pm, a text message to a friend states that I was at mile 68. At Xenia (roughly mile 68), I followed the signs for the wrong bike path. This did result in me going approximately 6 miles off course. I back tracked by foot the 6 miles to return to THE EXACT point of mistake and re-entered the course. The additional 12 miles IS included in the total time. Once I was back on course I reset my watch to have a more clear indication of my “true official distance” moving forward as I was intending to not leave the trail moving forward (this is why there are two files for April 30th of different distances. However, due to weather conditions becoming VERY cold, I did elect to get taken to a hotel roughly 8 miles later. I returned to the exact spot of pickup the next day.
May 1- Day 2- Started at 5:04am. I was paced by FKT holder, Gary Sines, through downtown Columbus. I did feel a major pain in my left calf, I marked my location of the on the course and left via vehicle. I was medically evaluated, stayed at a hotel after that and returned to the EXACT spot of course departure the next day just outside of downtown Columbus.
May 2- Day 3- Started at 6:51am. I was joined again by Gary Sines, and additionally Adam Puterbaugh, through Westerville (roughly 5-7 miles). I continued for the day to Mt Vernon, crossing the half way point along the way. Stayed at a hotel just off the course that I walked to prior to marking my location and returning the next day.
May 3- Day 4- Started at 6:36am. I crossed the Bridge of Dreams this day. My mom met me run with me a short distance a few times. Stayed at a hotel near the trail in Millersburg that I walked to prior to marking my location and returning the next day.
May 4- Day 5- Started at 6:21am. Went through the hills of Amish country on the roadways. This part was very challenging due to the change in elevation. Once through that section, I made it to bike trails for the remainder of the day. Ended in Canal Fulton where stayed at a VRBO just off the trail that I walked to and returned to the spot of departure the next morning.
May 5- Day 6- Started at 5:26am. Started at Canal Fulton and used the Tow Path the entire way into Cleveland. With about 12 miles remaining it started to rain, then with about 8 miles remaining it began to increase heavily. I made it to the crew vehicle to change into warmer clothes prior to finishing. Finished at 7:36pm
