Visiting my family in Palm Springs and decided to give it a shot! I knew I would have to move much faster than last year and take a pretty aggressive pace from the start in order to get close to Lindsay Webster's time. I had rough menstrual cramps for the first mile but once they disappeared twenty minutes in I felt fresh and fast. The trail was much drier than I've seen in the past due to so many months without rain but it made for easier navigation (entirely sans snow) in the last two miles. Leftover fallen debris from last year's storm made the navigation near the top challenging. The weather was ideal—low to mid 60s to start and it only dropped from there as I went up!
