Following the Macmillan Way for the first part is easy enough. Once it splits into the Monarch's Way and Leland Trail its an easy navigation with stickers on most junctions. The trouble starts when the Monarch's Way is dropped, without a phone with OS Maps this route would be almost impossible to navigate for a large chunk. Some path diversions have been put in place due to construction but the original attached GPX does a very good job, you just have to have faith that the path is actually behind all the stinging nettles.
An enjoyable route but would not attempt in the winter months, this is almost all farmland and extremely muddy - some sure footedness is required!
If you're going to attempt it I would suggest leaving some gas in the tank for the last 3.5km, the hill out of Montacute could be soul destroying if poorly paced.

Hi Jake - I did this trail at the weekend and recorded a video along the way. I didn't realise you did this unsupported (I left a bag in a bush around half way so it counts as 'self supported') which is very impressive - but I gave you a shout out in the video.
