I started out at 0530 from the gate at Occoquan Regional Park which was one mile from the trailhead since the park wasn't open to vehicles yet. I ran from Occoquan Regional Park to the Potomac River in Great Falls Park. Then headed back to where I started. It went about as well as I could've hoped. My quads blew up a little earlier than expected which made for a painful second half. My wife was stellar in crewing me with water and fuel while 18 weeks pregnant and also caring for our 10 month old baby. I'm not sure who had the harder day, me or her.
